POETRY FOR BROKEN HEARTS
The Day The Teddy Bears Cried She tried to tell me I was wrong
With all her heart and soul she tried,
But I wouldn,t listen, no not me,
I knew it all and would not see,
Was I really wrong, why should I be?
So the Devil had his way with me
And she was forced to set me free
But I never knew the pain there'd be,
The day the teddy bears cried.

She hid her feelings well and then
She kept them locked inside,
Though in her heart she felt the pain
And her tears inside fell like rain
And all those tears would not regain
The love lost there by all that pain
And only emptiness would now remain,
The day the teddy bears cried.

And now the ghosts of that lost Eve
Leaves me to grieve as true love died,
Cast into ashes all my dreams,
Now only rue and loneliness remains,
The awful product of my schemes
Wrapped in the devils' curse it seems,
I lost her to the silent screams,
The day the teddy bears cried.

Time has no bounds
Nor wraps itself in pity,
It is endless, infinite and lasting,
So as my love for you
Is carved from the granite of life
And polished with desire and joyful tears.
It is subtle and cunning as a thief
For it can rob you, needlessly
Steal from your heart,
Haunt the very being of your soul
And test your sanity.
True love borders on the edge of reason
But remains lasting and unshakable.
And sometimes, when you least expect it
From the depths of fear and mistrust
True love will prevail,
To rise above the ashes of your pain
And conquer your deepest fears,
To bring you hope and happiness
Out of the darkness and the rain.
For love won too easily
Will only want and search again.
